Volunteer

We need volunteers for a variety of tasks, including:

• Cleaning: ​​Help keep our cats happy, healthy, and comfortable! Cleaning volunteers play an essential role in the daily care of our rescue cats by keeping their rooms, litter boxes, food and water areas, and common spaces clean and sanitary. 

  • No special experience is required—just a willingness to get a little dirty and a love for cats. 

• Transportation:  Drive cats to vet appointments, spay/neuter appointments, and off-site adoption events.

• Bottle and Can returns:  Pick up returnable bottles and cans from the TAILS site and return them at local grocery stores.

• Fostering: Open your home and help a cat or kitten thrive while they wait for their forever family. Fostering provides a safe, loving environment where cats can relax, grow, and show their true personalities.

  • We provide everything you need! All food, litter, supplies, and medical expenses are covered by the rescue. You provide the love, attention, and a safe place to stay.

  • To protect both your foster and your resident pets, foster cats and kittens must be kept completely separate from other pets in the home.

• Fundraising: Help us raise the funds that make lifesaving work possible! Fundraising volunteers help create and support events, campaigns, donation drives, and other creative ways to generate much-needed support for the cats in our care.

• Social Media: Help us tell the stories of the cats who need us most! Our social media volunteers help grow our online community by creating engaging posts, sharing adoptable cats, promoting events and fundraisers, and giving our followers a behind-the-scenes look at life at the rescue.
